I've been around a lot of native Arabic speakers, some who were imams of masjids. The verse means don't let worldly shit prohibit you from being a dutiful Muslim. If it meant what you say, why do Muslims breed like insects? Hahaha

People take verses out of context and use them in whatever way suits them. The media does the same thing, taking quotes of people out of context or snippets of video and then creating a false narrative around it.
