Agreed, people only continue to exist of their own free will.

Since one comes into existence by forces lacking any kind of metaphysical notion of "freewill", then existence continues by these same causal forces or laws of physics

We must have different conceptualizations of free-will then.

All living things are the result of genetics and environmental conditioning

Personally, I believe determinism is a lie people choose to believe so as to abdicate away their own part they play for the situations they're in. Pushing the responsibility onto something or someone else that they can blame and foster resentment against.

I could be wrong though, of course.

Determinism is based on the laws of physics. There is a causal connection for everything. There's no evidence that there's part of a sentient being which is free from this causal chain. "Free will" is magical, mythical thinking, rooted in ancient superstition

Oh, even if determinism is true, my argument against it still stands.

Determinism is true. Your argument is delusional. It's people who believe in free will who seek to cast blame on others for their bad luck. Determinists understand that all are the product of genetics and environmental conditioning.

If it was proven to me that determinism was a healthier mindset for adopting, I might be more susceptible to adopting it, but thus far it's seemed quite dangerous to me. Also, I don't think determinism includes all the information in its calculation, such as subjective intention.

Read about it. Try "Free Will" by Sam Harris. It's not even a book, more like an essay. Very informing. Harris is a neuroscientist. Read B. F. Skinner's "Beyond Freedom & Dignity". Einstein, most scientists know "free will" is an illusion. Also, Tom Metzinger
