I almost died once from hypothermia. I got real tired and sleepy. My mind started to not care, rational thought gone. I became so weak I couldn't feed myself. Someone was there & fed me a bowl of warm beans. Freezing to death seems like a good way to go.

I had been mountain biking in the mountains. The temperature dropped rapidly & then was hit with torrential rain. That part sucked. But by the time I got back to camp, cold & wet, my core body temp was dropping and there was no pain. Just wanted to nod off.

It would've been a perfect time to exit. I wanted to just nod off. But I had a friend with me & he wouldn't let me. I managed to change clothes & laying in a tent in the cold rain, he had to feed me, I was so weak. If I had died it would've been fine with me.

I remember it felt good. We finally got back & we're sitting in the truck & my head kept drooping & I would say "I wanna go to sleep" but he was like "No!" I couldn't think straight. But I definitely wanted to go. It was luring me. And I wanted it.
