I will engage in AN philosophy with someone if they show some signs of intelligence & can engage in dialogue beyond just cliche, superficial small talk. And those people are hard to find.

In the past I have tried to spring it on people at coffee houses, bars or social gatherings and it never went well. A hardcore antinatalist is a threat to society. People instinctively pick up on this like wild eyed, frightened herd animals.

It wasn't like I was yelling at them or holding a picket sign that said "Down with childbirth". I would just bring up the notion that procreation is unethical, gambling with someone elses' life. And people would be in a kind of shock and dismay at the idea.
