My dad: grateful for his job as a RR brakeman, working in all kinds of miserable weather 2 pay our bills; the largest was a house pymt. that was mostly interest. He'd been thru The Great Depression. His 'fun' was to relax w/a cigarette. He died in pain from lung Cancer.
