Yeah. Mack Wolford was his name. Google it. He's a legendary serpent handler. Yeah. They all wanna die "in the signs", as they say. I went down becuz I love their music. It's like psychedelic rock with more adrenaline. They also drink strychnine & handle fire

I've just googled his name and found that he died only six years ago and had been well-known in Appalachia. Interesting guy.

Yeah. Mack called me & invited me down. He used to call me all the time & we'd talk about religion & philosophy & stuff. I liked him. There are documentaries out there of him or he's in them. Hadn't been bitten in years. I go down & he gets bit & dies. smh

No. That didn't happen here where I live. Hahaha. It was way down in the mountains on the West Virginia and Virginia line. You must not be following the thread.

It's easy to do. Sometimes, the threads splinter off & go in different directions. I'm like "whaa??"

Yeah, it really dampened the party. Ha! There were people there who weren't even about the religious element. Photographers, media people, documentarians, and so on. But when they got them snakes out, I was scared. Haha. I was like "O Lord, not me! No!"

It's a crazy religion. Nuts. Suicidal. It's kind of like playing Russian roulette. The odds are better than Russian roulette but it can still take you out. Some get bit & manage to survive. I've been into all kinds of religions. But I dont get into it anymore

I tried, I said "Mack, there's no harm in you going to the hospital & getting treatment. It doesn't mean you've lost your faith". He tried to smile. But he was so sick, the venom eating him up on the inside. Rattlesnake venom destroys your nervous system
