Ha! I didn't work that hard. I just tried to avoid getting caught up in shit that I didn't need. No kids, low overhead, I had a little bit of cash, the seller was highly motivated & it worked out.

You may not have worked that hard to get that land you own. But before that, you had certainly worked hard in your series of excruciating relationships, in your relationships with your parents and siblings, in pursuing truth through religion and philosophy, and everything else.

Oh. You mean that kind of work. OK. Yeah. I've been thru some wacky shit. But I guess we all have, in our own way. I sure have been thru the religions. Haha. One time I went to a serpent handler religious convention. A pastor got bit & died. I swear to god.

Yeah. Mack Wolford was his name. Google it. He's a legendary serpent handler. Yeah. They all wanna die "in the signs", as they say. I went down becuz I love their music. It's like psychedelic rock with more adrenaline. They also drink strychnine & handle fire

Yeah. I could've left. Some people did. But I went with them to his mother in laws & he laid there for a long time before he died. He refused to go to the hospital. That's part of their belief. I stayed with him until he died. Like a good soldier. Then I left

The man asked me to come down there. I wasn't gonna leave him in his hour of need. Like a man gets wounded in the battlefield, you don't leave them like that. I couldn't leave. I was faithful unto the end.

Yeah, things got really emotional when he fell over in the floor and died. I had to kind of take control. His brother came up to me & thanked me afterwards. I just felt like Mack invited me down. And I should stay with him til the end. It's that simple.
