Be healthily selfish. If not, you can't survive in this jungle. Everyone is that way: in other words, all people are moderately altruistic and appropriately egoistic. If you're truly altruistic and loving, people will label you "egoistic" and "arrogant."

Well, if you are TRULY altruistic and loving, they will plot against you, trump up some false charges, have you arrested, tortured and then hung on a cross until dead. Maybe not exactly like that but something to that effect.

Yes, I know what you mean. I exaggerated it a bit. In any case, they will persecute and make you suffer anyway even if you're truly altruistic.
