People will hate you if you're really, truly altruistic and honest. It is only when you're healthily selfish that people love you and call you kind and good-hearted.

I found it's best never to say my true thoughts to others. They get scared or upset when I do that. So, I just say "Hello, there, kind sir. A nice fall day we're having, eh, guv'ner?"
