I read his novel "On the Road" a few days ago and watched a movie based on it. I don't know if I really understood the novel or movie. I think it'll take some time for me to decide whether I really like it or not.

I was married to a Catholic gal & knew a lot of Catholics. They're prone to drink. They dont all die from it, I guess. I was being facetious. But just look at the Irish. Haha. Hello? Kerouac actually DID drink himself to death. I love drunk poets. More wine!

So you were married to a Catholic woman. I'm glad to have learned all this from the horse's mouth. So the Irish, too, tend to be alcoholic. Yes, it seems that way. I love to read Eugene O'Neill and he drank, drank, and drank when young. Many of his relatives seems the same way.

Seems like a lot of the great writers were hard drinkers. I've known a lot of Protestants have drank themselves to death, too. If I get drunk, I start saying what I really think & then people dont wanna be around me anymore. Haha.
