(1) I don't know about students elsewhere in the world. In Japan, numerous students are so lazy and lenient to themselves that they don't even try to pick up a tiny dictionary for absolute English-language beginners when they happen to have a question.

(3) ... numerous assholes (pardon my language!) have the nerve to attack the guiltless teacher. Honestly speaking, this is precisely why I couldn't ever bring myself to resume my teaching career at any school after several years of teaching while in my early twenties.

(4) Honestly speaking, I could even kill -- yes, murder -- such people who depend that much on others, whether in their studies or in any other occupation. How school teachers can put up with such self-lenient students is beyond my belief.

(5) I venture to declare this: Whether students or not, people too lenient on themselves just don't deserve to ask for anyone's help. Heaven helps those who help themselves. Even complete idiots can pick up a dictionary when they come across a word whose meaning they don't know.

Nearly everyone has a smartphone. If there is a word they are unfamiliar with, type into the phone "word" and "define" and there will be several authorized dictionaries with all of the information about said word, its meaning(s), its origins, and so on.
