I don't know. I doubt it. Hollywood & TV are THE dominant force in media today. But Internet is rapidly usurping them. Books and literacy are a thing of the past. The electronic media is re-tribalizing humans. We are entering a New Dark Ages.

The electronic media is wiping out 500 years of the printing press. Nowadays, most people get their information via electronic, speed of light media, not thru print. Print is visual. Electronic media is aural.

Western civilization was built on print. Electronic media is destroying that. We are being retribalized thru oral transmission of information as opposed to print. Identity politics is an outgrowth of that. America is on the verge of disintegrating as we speak

I'm not talking about individually but humanity as a whole. Most people get their information via oral transmission, i.e. electronic sound. TV & Internet. Internet is rapidly taking over where TV left off. But TV is still dominant right now.
