If I don't do it that way, it doesn't get done. If I try to soften it, I lose my edge. But don't take it personally. I enjoy our banter back & forth. We are kindred spirits.

I've been holding back lately. I need to take the brakes off & start tweeting full blast again. If you go back on my timeline, there are some pretty harsh, unbridled tweets about the human condition & antinatalism. I am hardcore antinatalist.

I don't know if I should thank you or block you (in order to save you from my pessimistic darkness). But I guess it's too late, now, you've already been contaminated by my hideous outlook on life. So, we may as well howl at the moon together, my friend.
Contaminated, the two of you have nothing but to howl at the moon, huh? Haha! That's a beautiful image, though. Lone wolves howling at the moon are a real beauty. That reminds me of the very lonely man-turned-tiger howling at the moon in a short story set in China ...
(2) ... depicted by a Japanese novelist. In the story, a highly talented poetic genius is so proud as a young man that he couldn't be content to train himself among his fellow poets, whom he regarded as inferior to him. He, however, didn't work hard enough on his own, either.
(3) The poet thus ended up wasting his talent, neither being inspired by his peers or masters or training himself on his own. His cowardice and laziness somehow transformed him into a tiger. Although now a tiger, he is still a man inside. He encounters an old friend poet ...
(4) ... and tells him bitterly how much he regrets having wasted his talent. After leaving his old friend, the man tiger goes up the nearly mountain and howls at the moon at night. The tale is called "Sangetsuki" ("The Moon over the Mountain").

Hell of a story. I can relate. Altho, I don't have enough vanity left to want to be a great anything in this life. When I was younger, I did. But like Li Zheng, the desire for fame & notoriety is gone & I am left only to prowl the darkness & howl at the moon.
