By the way, since yesterday evening I've been seeing some documentaries on Eileen Wuornos on YouTube. The passionate discussion between @LonePandaRoams (Panda) and (ant on sugar) inspired me. I think I've so far seen about a total of about 80 minutes of footage.

The Selling is a damn good one. & the sequel, The Life & Death, a great follow up. Don't get me started on Aileen. I love her. I start crying just thinking about her. I'm starting to tear up right now. That poor thing. That poor little girl. Goddamn humanity

(1) Given that "Eileen: Life and Death" is unavailable free of charge in Japan, I've just ordered a secondhand DVD version of it. I'll definitey see it. In "The Selling," I found a scene where the 35-year Eileen in the accused's stand in court speaking eloquently.

(2) There she looked just lovely. I don't know why. It's not that she looked even lovelier than when she was a teenager. On the surface she looked withered and old and ugly. But still, something seen through all that superficial ugliness, I saw something true, beautiful.

(3) I think I loved the way she talked, the way she looked with her eyes, the way she moved her mouth. All that expressed eloquently how sincere she was. So I believe that she was telling the whole truth, nothing but the truth, when she was saying that she killed ...

(4) ... all those seven men in self-defense. Or perhaps she was overreacting to those men. But I don't care. She was still defending herself in that she was trying to protect herself as a young girl from her rapist father. I think she was seeing her father through the seven men.

Your analysis is similar 2 mine. Thank you. It was her grandfather. Her real father hung himself in prison. She never knew him. Her mother abandoned her to her grandparents. He raped her. What you see in her is that innocent little girl that wants to be loved

Marilyn Monroe may not have been as radical as Eileen, but I see some similarities between the two. Marilyn was also very much abused as a child by elder men and grew up to be constantly hungry for real love. I liked the movie where Ashley Judd and Mira Solvino portray Marilyn.

There are probably a lot of sad cases like that. Billie Holiday comes to mind. You should watch "Monster" (2003). Have a box of tissues handy. Theres some graphic violence too, tho. You'll not be able to tell Charlize Theron from Aileen Wournos when ur done
