whenever a guy kills his whole family or a mother kills her kids, i wonder if it was a mercy killing. they realized they made a terrible mistake by procreating, that life is shit, it's misery, & it'd be better to nip the pain & suffering in the bud

I swear to god I have often thought the same thing about that. It's like they have a sudden rush of insight as to the heinous crimes they have committed & they can't deal with it & so they destroy it all in a fit of rage.

or it's quite premeditated. they're come to the conclusion that life is horrible, & it's better to end the suffering prematurely
