Anyone else see Manchester by the Sea yet? Saw it today and wowwww. Super good. Really get invested in the characters of the movie.

I saw it and agree. Not the happiest or most exciting story but a good look at certain human nature
and I think that was totally fine. Makes a good case for the fact that you don't necessarily need a *full* character arc

Lee didn't evolve at all, but it wasn't for a lack of him not trying, which I think is the most important

oh definitely. Him trying and coming to understand that it was beyond him was the whole point of the movie to me. Very true to life.
