Pro tip for recruiters: The least you can do is say the name of the studio you're representing. "An incredibly exciting studio working on stunning games", is how every recruiter has described every role ever.

Another tip: Most devs I know, they see "recruiter" and run the other way, but people do like to meet at talk to their contemporaries at other studios. If you really want someone in particular, don't send the recruiter, get someone on your team to reach out.

Nahhhh. Getting someone from the team to reach out is soso. I’ve run into the situation where they were asking what would I leave for, and I said, I’d look for a bump to X position, but turns out that person was hoping to be in that position soon internally. Made convo awkward.

And you’re mostly describing contract agency recruiters/headhunters. Most internal studio recruiters wouldn’t take this approach or wording. Agency recruiters don’t name the studios because they’re worried you’d apply to the studio on your own and they’d lose out on their cut.
