Another! #StartToFinish #beforeandafter This area went through a lot of iteration due to a key player leading moment. Served as my little benchmark area too in terms of set dressing density and overall detail that would carry through the level. #JediFallenOrder #gameart #gamedevpic.twitter.com/QyxfhkJDdU
Getting these all on the same thread for #Blocktoberhttps://twitter.com/jobyek/status/1245644770212372480?s=20 …
Can find all of these collated on @ArtStationHQ! Always fun to share these out :). #Blocktober #gameart #gamedevhttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/4bAXv1
Curious, do you guys take your block outs further than that? Like, is that a really early stage pass?
As far as it goes for Level Designers, yes! That’s what would get handed to the artists. Then we’d typically do our art blockout on top of it, and then multiple art passes until final. There’s *several* months of work between those shots
I absolutely LOVE this! Working for Respawn as a Level Designer is one of my dreams jobs, so I really appreciate you taking the time to show a little bit of how your levels evolve from the initial blockout to final art pass!
Love the clouds and atmosphere!!!
