A major problem with tools tutorial documentation is that it often gets out of date. This is never ideal, but I find it does present a good exercise for new designers to update the docs. This makes them experts that can help pass the knowledge along to the next person.
Ahh interesting way to approach it! It definitely is a slog having to update them. Did it at the beginning of FC Primal, but then never had time to go back and update as production went along due to busy-ness.

It reminds me a bit of that college study tactic where you try to teach an idea to someone else as a means of demonstrating you actually comprehend it yourself.
