The delineators certainly keep drivers from “cutting the corner” but if the goal is pedestrian safety then adjusting lane width by adding a bike lane (or some other buffer) would further enhance safety.

Dear god, yes. I would love a bike lane from one end of Bell to the other. Getting through Bayside Hills is a nightmare on a bike. On the other hand, north of 35th Ave and south of the LIE there’s room for a two-way protected bike lane without even losing a traffic lane.
