My books were published with a lot of care & attention. Both have earned out. Still, I don’t quite have the words to describe how it feels to see how the industry values your work up front in stark numbers, to know that you are literally worth less to them because you’re Black.

Your/our work is NOT less valuable because we're Black. This is perhaps the truest evidence that other work must be seen as more valuable through these figures. Time always tells. Your/our stories will survive these capitalist valuation systems.
