Keeping this guy locked up (or not) is not going to change the fact of his crime. It is going to give him a chance for redemption.

Not against redemption. But this celebratory tone might mean more coming from someone who hasn't let crime become rampant across the city to the point that stores have to close.

Probably just a matter of time… “There are 155 CVS stores in the Bay Area, including 12 in San Francisco; yet those 12 stores make up 26% of all shoplifting incidents in the region, CVS said.”https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/16/us/san-francisco-shoplifting-walgreens/index.html …

No. But it certainly can be a reason for closing stores in SF. I hope you are not genuinely unable to understand the difference.

Is that why the closures were planned in 2019 for "underperforming" all across the US? https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1618921/000119312519214110/d786644d8k.htm …

No. But, it is likely that the shoplifting issue in SF contributes to their decisions about which stores to close / close first.

Left out of all of these articles is that in Aug 2019, Walgreens announced they were closing 200 stores over the next couple of years anyway https://twitter.com/CitationsPod/status/1397598918129688580 … pic.twitter.com/gUzqmATr7bShow this thread1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
