It’s officially more than just suspicions of corruption from boondoggle programs and projects like the ones you mention when we have public officials (Nuru, Hui, Santos, etc) ensnared by the FBI and City Attorney for pay-to-play type schemes which continue to unravel.

I can remember laughing out loud when I first read about Rodrigo Santos forging checks made out to DBI to read RoDBIgo Santos in order to deposit them into his personal account. Then, one of his projects started illegally excavating next to my foundation, which was not as funny.

Someone told me that in the old days, architects would put $100 bills inside their plans and roll them up and submit to Planning for approval. Now it seems people hire a law firm to get things fast tracked? It takes so much $$$ to get anything done.

Do search the walter wong controversy, those hundreds of dollars turned into thousands and the process became much more explicit corrupt and obviously dishonest.

People who care about the City and our residents don't run for office, and people who want to fleece us join the school board with no kids or interest in education and run for Supe to get their hands on a $14B Honey Pot. Then they work as

They do what works (to get elected) and will not change anything until it’s not working anymore. As greasy as they tend to be, I still place most of the blame on us, the voters.
