From what I see and hear, calling Koko Pimentel the "incoming Senate minority leader" is premature.

Senator Koko Pimentel, incoming Senate minority leader, on the shutdown order vs Rappler: If they can get a TRO from a court higher than the SEC, then the order can be stopped or held in abeyance. We should follow court processes and hierarchy. | via @maracepeda

Retweeting this thread from three and half years ago. Not all of Duterte’s willing assassins use guns. Some—against all reason, justice, proportion—issue revocation orders.

Media Nation’s Marian Pastor Roces: Red-tagging is a 1950's-1960's strategy, it belongs to the world we are no longer living, it's framed supposedly by violent competition between left and right, a formulation which has no value in our analysis today. youtu.be/9yEaJdX-X0I

A brazen violation of constitutional guarantees (free speech, free press). Till its last days in office, the Duterte administration continues to add to its principal legacy: democratic erosion. #HoldTheLine #MediaFightBack

Story so far, but definitely not the end. Lawyers of the government should make clear if they back this action from the NSC. They were, after all, the ones who promised the Supreme Court - and the Filipino people - that the law will not go beyond its text. rappler.com/nation/esperon

Today’s Newsstand column is on one kind of Marcos BS. “The way campaign spokesperson and incoming executive secretary Vic Rodriguez explained Thursday’s selective news conference was an example of the bullshit that’s meant to flatten the discourse.”
