@ErrataRob i don't think i agree with you. this erodes trust in MSFT Win Updates, esp if you see this as akin to WGA & pirated windows (tbc)
@ErrataRob what happened then - "WGA will disable your pirated windows" - is ppl didn't update, including security patches. (tbc again)

@jnazario@ErrataRob FYI, WGA Notifications never disabled pirated version of Windows completely. -
@jnazario@ErrataRob If I remember correctly, installation required the user to agree to an EULA, and it was not difficult to hide. -
@jnazario@ErrataRob Another myth BTW is that XP SP3 require WGA validation, which it never did. -
