So true. And the best way to become a better user experience designer is to use the products you build (and ones like them). It’s amazing how easy it is to get caught up in theoretical enhancements before realizing you haven’t used the product in a while to know what’s working.

This is why I now have 100% of my notifications off on my iPhone. Not everyone should be allowed to be a UX designer

Couldn't agree more. I expand the definition of UX to any human follow-up to that notification, including the relationship btwn the automatic notifications and any subsequent contact with "Support." Does no good if the two are unconnected, or worse, contradictory.
