Amid gas inflation, at least 20 states are considering gas tax suspensions and at least 16 are considering some form of direct payment to consumers. Only three states are pondering or approved support for driving alternatives: California, Hawaii, and Connecticut.

Potential for a linear park on Pennsylvania Ave is huge, but getting it right must involve more than transforming the roadway. A vibrant corridor must be packed with retail & food kiosks + active streetfronts on surrounding buildings. Otherwise, street will be as empty as today.
