    TED Talks are so inspiring. I love being told to change my life by an overenthusiastic American professor six months before their findings fail to get replicated and it turns out they were p-hacking shitty results to get tenure. I fucking love science.

    After watching this game, all I can think is how incredible Subasic was. The guy likely tore a ligament and stayed til the end, defending his team's goal even through the penalty kicks. Respect.

    Here's the fucking obvious truth: in this industry, minorities, women, underrepresented and marginalised people are harassed. There is a large, vocal and aggressive population who do not want us involved in this industry *in any capacity*.

    > sucks but life is unfair I cannot agree more. While new FOSS should use another platform, Rust's development relies too much on GitHub and its UX for a switch to be worth it. As usual, good engineering requires compromise.

    The fact is that there just are not FOSS competitors to a lot of things we use and that are so good we use them despite ideological disappointment. FOSS cannot demand that people accept a lesser UX; it has to be on par with the commercial. That sucks but life is unfair.
