Can’t believe the news about Bert Borgmann. He was a key part of helping to make into a modern state association. He was hired in 1988, and helped lead big change in the Association. He started the Hall of Fame. He oversaw most every sport by the time he retired in 2021.

When a Cody baseball team made a regional in Oregon, Leach drove a couple hours only a few weeks before the college season to give them a pregame speech about life and baseball. Good dude who meant a lot to a small town. RIP.

Mike Leach was one of the most famous people from my home town. I had an old gym teacher in high school who loudly complained about cutting Leach from the varsity football team and how it probably cost him a college coaching gig.
