"Maybe they are a little black trans kid or brown trans kid or a Muslim trans kid, and they need to know that other people like them exist. So I’m gonna spit that poem so they know it.” I got to talk w/ poet about art as healing & history-making

Attended the first part of a 2-part workshop with about creating a sustainable income model for QTPOC creatives, & it was so amazing! Plus I met so many other local artists that are all so powerful with their works. I feel inspired & supported tonight.

Y’all, the thing in writing a book about , is that I have been getting so many dm’s and emails about the grief folks have been carrying. I am so grateful to share in healing with other TQPOC folks 🖤❤️🖤😭

Here’s what Jesus did NOT say: Welcome the stranger, if he has money. Feed the hungry, who earned the food. Love your neighbor, when it’s good for the economy. Give water to the thirsty, once they pay their dues. Rule. Don’t serve. Be first. Not last. Take and keep taking.
