NEW: With 50+ mil vaccinated, the the urgent question on many minds is: When can I throw away my mask? In private with other vaccinated people? Right now. In public spaces? Depends on disease rates and the percentage of vaccinated people.

Speaking as a parent with kids in lower grades: kill the bill. Teach the facts. This is idiocy.

Yep. I’m far more likely to shop somewhere if I don’t feel like the other shoppers are raging assholes who care more about their own slight increase in comfort at the expense of my health.

Is it just me or does this sound like a monologue that Carell’s character would have delivered jn THE MORNING SHOW? Less a vindication and more of a lack of self-awareness and a misunderstanding of how people react to power.

Dr. Ashish Jha says on podcast "we now have a pretty high degree of certainty" that Covid vaccines reduce transmission and says his best guess is that they reduce transmission by 70-90%.

From what I understand, this is very good news. The COVID-19 vaccines may be a bit confused by the different variants, but they can still attack them and have good success subduing them.

THREAD: Lots of us learned classical music from watching old cartoons, so I’m going to identify the pieces that frequently popped up. One of the most recognizable is Franz Liszt’s “Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2,” performed by those great piano virtuosos Bugs Bunny and Tom & Jerry.

I’ve never before seen the framing that a property tax is a wealth tax on working people. Is that right? It seems to be at least partially true. (It’s on some wealth, rather than all wealth.) I’ve been warming up to the idea of a wealth tax and this raises the temp quite a bit.

😢 My favorite weather app, hands down. I’m sad that being a paying customer didn’t help to keep the app alive. I hope that its unique features (the eponymous weather line and location views, including Home Assist) live on in another app.

I wanted him for the Packers, but I don’t think they had that kind of change in the couch cushions. Not with their current cap situation and homegrown free agents.
