Almost convinced that apps should have `* { user-select: none }` and opt-in to selections

Design twitter: what is a good design for a list of items that have 2 different selection states? Example screenshot shows a bad design, but gives you the idea. Item can be selected but there's an additional state in there.

The modern version of the lonely "finding a forum post describing my exact problem with no replies": finding a github issue describing a real problem with many replies confirming it, only to end it an automated bot closing it due to inactivity.

Phew, looks like they call it "timed publishing" and it's a feature you need to turn on:

Does Google Play really not let you control release dates? "Your app needs to be reviewed! We will review it and release it at a random time in the future" You can't say "when approved, let me manually release it" like Apple's app store?

I was really hoping I could use the new search feature to search for mentions! Unfortunately even "PageName" (without @) doesn't even find mentions. I bet they'll do this at some point!

Does have any way to view pages that mention/link to a specific page?

Jury is out whether this is RN or Android's fault. At this point it's a 50/50 chance.

So the question is: how does the user open the keyboard again to type in the input? You tap the input again and the kb opens Problem is your design might have a button which focuses the input programmatically. Calling `input.focus()` in React Native does not reopen the keyboard.

There's so many fun things writing a cross-platform app Android has a dedicated button just for hiding the keyboard! That's actually pretty cool. Problem is, the keyboard is gone and the text input is still focused... that state isn't possible on iOS. ...

Android users: when you have a tab bar, do you expect the "ripple" material design interaction when you tap a tab?

I'm confused - I might have just published an app on Google Play store? I thought all apps require a review these days?

This should include the height of the status bar, because my app is rendering underneath it. Without a notch the system knows that and correctly includes the status bar. But with a notch it's like "yo I'm not a status bar"

Another awesome Android quirk: `context.getResources().getDisplayMetrics()` returns the dimens of the window. On devices without a notch, height is correct. On devices with a notch, height doesn't take into account the notch.
