I love hiring but wouldn't want to do it full-time. First is understanding our team needs and how the person will become successful - what special skills this new person will need to thrive - what their 30,60, 90 will look like - how will they be onboarded...

As we've grown knowing when to hire and what to hire for has developed in to a valuable skillset. I believe in: - doing the job yourself before hiring for it - hiring for established skills over potential (prioritizing floors vs ceilings)

Once we know "the make-up" of the role next is writing a job post that: - Speaks to the applicant - Reads clearly on what the job is - Matches what we need Our roles are positioned as growth opportunities + excitement of startup - hustle and disorganization + remote autonomy

It's hard to beat that feeling of getting the right person on your boat. All boils down to: - Clear definition of the role - Sourcing and vetting the applicants - Running a repeatable process - On-boarding and training
