This is, once again, where the smoke analogy is extremely useful. It incorporates all of the relevant dimensions to exposure risk, including distance, indoor/outdoor, accumulation time, ventilation, mask impact, etc.https://twitter.com/denversportsfan/status/1333657889131544576?s=20 …

One of the main reasons cloth masks need to have some standard. I realize that not everyone can purchase a standardized cloth mask, but this is global and countries with fewer resources need to focus on reusables that have a clear standard.

But Linsey Marr caved on shrinking the distance in classrooms from 6 feet to 3 feet. I think you’re great and have been following you since last spring. But there are people in your circle who will perform pretzel logic to help get schools open. Lot of careerist in your field

If Dr. Marr was the caving kind, she wouldn't have been going against the grain and the mainstream for decades.

It is fair to say that the risk outdoors is, given all specific studies about it, extremely low in comparison with indoors risk. Also distance doesn’t help in a small to medium room without proper ventilation: aerosols quickly spread in the room in a very homogeneous manner.

Masks of good quality, distance and ventilation must be the answer, right?

30ft for more since the beginning and they laughed at me back then. I'm extremely high risk

Why is this so hard wear a mask, stay away from others at least 6 feet, but if you're in a poorly ventilated area such as most indoor spaces, there will become a point where distance or masks won't help you. Best to avoid such areas, or use an N95 respirator if you can't avoid
