Lot of people hating on this post saying you absolute don’t need a google scholar page. Ok - field specific... but they actually have google scholar pages.

I learned of Publish or Perish software that is also useful for people who don't have a google scholar or Orchid iD page: https://harzing.com/resources/publish-or-perish … but not everyone will go to that trouble.

Google Scholar might not be used in your field much. I'm sorry I didn't add a
#STEM hashtag. I always google (senior) applicants to see if they have a#MeToo

Hard to do when not connected to a university as Google will not allow you to verify your account without an university associated email account

And limit the number of “in prep” papers and grants listed on your CV to less than 1.
