People who advocate for transgender rights do a disservice to those rights by cheering for Chelsea without thinking about what she did. /1

She broke the law and put people's lives at risk in order to be a hero to some. /2

To give her a pass because she is trans is a pernicious form of bigotry in and of itself. /3

One can respect Chelsea and the transition she went through while at the same time recognizing that she performed a traitorous act. /4

As the passage highlighted by @ExumAM states, giving Chelsea a pass implies that trans people cannot perform patriotic service - a lie. /5x

Basically that even the government had to admit her leaks didn't put anyone in danger, they just exposed shameful actions by the US?

Is that accepted as fact? I have read otherwise, but obviously it can be difficult to discern how the "facts" are being contextualized.

In other words, the fact that the leaks likely did not directly lead to deaths, to me, is not even remotely close to enough of a defense.

I'm not gonna out lawyer you but I've never seen it successfully argued how she put anyone at risk, other than just LEAKS ARE BAD
