This isn't about electioneering. This is about saving Albertans' jobs. Unfortunately it seems as though Justin Trudeau is content to see the project stalled - at least until after the fall 2019 federal election. The Notley NDP-Trudeau Liberal alliance has failed Albertans.

How would setting a deadline for consultations show they're in good faith, exactly? Like really, what should the federal government do? Ignore the constitution and the courts? #ableg #abpoli

Kenney and Scheer have repeatedly demanded Trudeau override the courts and approve the pipeline. So yes, that exactly what he’s suggesting. Ignore the constitution & courts

I wonder if Kenney’s supporters realize he’s demanding Trudeau act as a dictator would, and that it seems to be his preferred approach. Dictatorial and authoritarian with nary a thought about democratic principles and the law.

The part that kills me is they're complaining about Trudeau acting like a dictator while demanding he act like a dictator.

The UCP doesn’t appear to understand the duty to consult and accommodate. Getting consultation (and accommodation!) right is an important part of building major infrastructure in this country. Voters should ask themselves “Is @jkenney pushing us forward or pulling us back?”

Too many Canadians don't understand that the duty to consult shouldn't grant any party the power of veto. There needs to be balance, and the pendulum has swung way too far to the zone of accommodation.

Tell first nations if we are to continue writing cheques to the bands we need the revenue and appeal the courts decision. Nothing happens until somebody does something

I encourage you to learn about how FN money is handled. Hint, it's not your money given to them, it's THEIR money. It's like rent owed to a landlord per a legal agreement.

Yes its the purchase of land that never closes. Dont forget thats a fraction of what is sent monthly (education health care water infastructure social programs etc)

So you understand it is their money, held in trust, being paid to them based upon international and domestic treaties. So maybe stuff the 'don't pay them' rhetoric unless you're willing to leave their land.

So we pay for the land and to raise them? Its like having my 50 year old son live in my basement

It's actually nothing like that insulting false equivalency. This would be best described as a long term rental agreement. If you feel you want to own the land outright, then maybe look at what the purchase price would be for the country and start fundraising, or maybe self-evict
