Mitchell Schwartz legitimately just had one of the greatest postseasons in NFL history. 100 pass blocking snaps exactly over 3 games. Almost the entire time in obvious pass situations as the team trailed, against legit pass rushers. Two, hurries. Nothing else.

I wrote about Kyle Shanahan's conservative decision making prior to halftime and how he actually invited what he feared, just 2 hours later. I also draw a comparison to a similar situation against the Seahawks this season and preach process over results.

Kyle is an excellent coach, he did not do well tonight. I am actually partially defending him. The notion that he lost because he didn’t run enough when his QB was 19/22 and the run game hadn’t been great is unfair criticism in my mind.

Andrew Berry started out as a scouting assistant with the Colts and worked his way up over a decade but because he spent two years with Sashi Brown he’s not a “traditional scout”

One of the crazier Mahomes stats is that he got better at limiting negatively graded plays from college to pro. The (positive) differential at the play level is as big as anyone in our database. Second most? Lamar Jackson. Coaching is a thing.

The Chiefs offensive line has been the best in the league at holding blocks in the first 3 seconds of a pass play. According to our Hurry Probability model, the OL is expected to allow a hurry on 9% of dropbacks within 3 seconds, best in the NFL. |

Why do so many football teams employ nerds that have never even put on pads? Bunch of math sissies.

    3. About Berry & Stefanksi: I spoke to multiple sources around the league who told me that Berry did a significant amount of the leg work for the on Stefanski last year and was a driving force in his candidacy in 2019. Berry is a BIG believer in Stefanski, which is huge.

Data said don't take Michael Thomas. Actually, it said Michael Thomas was outstanding. That's part of the reason the Saints, who LOVE data and have a team full of players data loves, took him.
