Biological sex is absolutely real but it is still more than a binary and having your sex changed to match your identity is real and valid. Maya seems very anti-trans and that is not okay. I thought you supported all people. (Not debating the law here just the anti-transness)

Sex is binary and immutable (it's your gamete class). Nobody should be harassed or discriminated against for their gender expression, but being forced to pretend that sex doesn't exist is basically theocratic. And sex class has a huge impact on women which we need to discuss.

That's a straw man of a complex argument, and as such more divisive than useful. Trans folks have an extraordinary high suicide rate... can we just let them have the identity they want please? They're not doing anyone any harm. Leave them alone.

Hi Richard. Thanks for your support of trans people like me. However - with respect to @jk_rowling - belief in magical thinking is not helping our mental health. Sex is real, it is binary and it is immutable.

I grew up as a trans child reading your books as an escape. I would often pick out names from characters to give to myself, before I ever felt comfortable in who I was. This decision, to support people that hate me, and want to do me harm. It brings me to tears... Why. Why?

Well, J.K., I appreciate you finally admitting to the rest of the world what the company you follow says to everyone- you’re transphobic. You’re also defending someone that was fired for being transphobic. As a transgender woman, it tells me all I’ll ever need to know about you.
