How about pushing on your eyeball (finger on eyelid to keep things safe) and the world looks like it is moving. Move your eye with your eye muscles through similar kinematics and the world doesn't. Efference copy! (Until someone corrects me, I'm going with that.)
-
great one, definitely

Drop a heavy object (e.g., Kandel and Schwartz) into someone's hand and they will not be able to anticipate the added load well, despite vision. Have them drop it into their own hand -- perfect compensation. Thanks to Sandro Mussa-Ivaldi, for that one.

Yes,
@reziliusReza is using the same example with a heavy book that you hold on your hand and that yourself or someone else has to pick up. - Još 1 odgovor

1/2Speed accuracy trade-offs and intro to Fitts Law. Four pairs of circles on a page with different distance and size. Tap btw them for 10s. From top down 1) stress accuracy 2) stress speed (more dots more error vs stress accuracy in 1. Shows accuracy v speed in same context /...pic.twitter.com/8sZzI3mZZQ

2/2 ...3) stress speed. More dots and more in target. Compared to 2) it shows more accuracy when size is similar but amplitude is smaller. 4) stress speed. Similar distrib to 3) but less in targets. Shows how target size impacts accuracy for same speed as 3). Great class demo.

Reverse your mouse cursor / scrolling direction, and see whether you are able to adapt to the novel demands? (and perhaps even need to re-adapt when setting the direction back to normal)

role of predictions: have 2 milk boxes, one full, one empty, first lift the full one and let the person assume the second is full too. Then lift the second one and you will probably see an overshoot.. or the other way around and you see the unexpectedly heavy box slipping..
