Sorry, there nothing called lock down in India, only very few activities are restricted!
Government data doesn't represents the true numbers. Deaths outside the hospitals are being excluded. Number of cases started to incline right after West Bengal election was held and now it just magically started declining right before the Uttar Pradesh election.
Buddy you don't know about our government...they are very experts in hiding data.
So what data do you believe?should I go to every hospital for the survey?
Am a big Ivermectin fan, but above interpretation is nonsense. India started using IVM around July 2020 for treatment. Not as if IVM was started after 2nd wave peak. 2nd wave shouldn't have peaked so high at all - if it did, then you cannot attribute it's rapid decline to IVM
Another thing is that COVID has now moved from the cities to rural areas. Many rural areas don't even have proper tests. So COVID is regarded as fever or flu or typhoid. So the numbers are probably still high but just moved to rural areas.
It's highly transmissive compared to other varients, so the spike will be fast and the downturn will also be faster. Most of the people wil get antibodies and the virus will not be able transmit further
Probably the lockdown worked well! Also, it's not true that govt is only hiding data, a few states worked well to manage the covid by enhancing tests, vaccination. India is complex , people don't get vaccinated or tested easily even if things are available at their door step!
