First time uploading a preprint! Here we addressed potential mechanisms by which stroke-like events following seizures lead acute memory impairment. Most aspects of network function were okay, except for the ability to undergo LTP.

Excited to share our paper out today in ! We used in vivo electrophysiology and calcium imaging with Wire-Free Miniscopes to show that hippocampal synchronization is critical for spatial coding and this breaks down in epileptic mice.

1/ Very proud that our paper is finally out in Nature Neuro! We use new wire-free miniaturized microscopes and electrophysiology to find interneuron desynchronization and long term place cell instability in a model of temporal lobe epilepsy.

What a way to end 2019! My first-author publication is in press! We show that a conserved histone writer, essential for establishing gene expression in early development (EZH2) increases after seizures & plays a protective role in a mouse epilepsy model.
