Based on my reading of Senate Rule XXVI, Judiciary Democrats have every right to vote on a motion to go into closed session. Paragraph (b). It has nothing to do with Executive Session. Vote is in order in a hearing.

Sorry. Senate Rule XXVI, paragraph 5(b) authorizes a vote to go into closed session, contrary to Grassley's assertions that it only applies to executive session.
