It's beautiful on the surface but do watch out for the mother.

Mother deer are highly protective of their young, this is actually very dangerous for the child no matter how cute.
-
Mother deer also leave their newborn fawns alone the entire day and reunite with them at night. That's why if you find a fawn alone you dont attempt to rescue it, unless its mother is obviously dead. If it was dusk then yeah, it would be more dangerous.

Look at her little hands when she first sees the deer. First fear then a little hello. Oh humans. We start out so good!
-
Exactly! The exchange is so complex. How is it I can see a world of emotion go through her little self and yet live blind to fellow humans? Does MY goodness change? Theirs? Why? Fear?
