I do want to push back slightly re: all masculinity, since masc lesbians, for instance, dont benefit from being masculine and are more likely to b targeted by homophobic violence bc being gender nonconforming makes them hypervisible

Toxic masculinity is the harm patriarchy does to men, misogyny and sexism are what it does to women.

Given that men benefit from and uphold patriarchy, I don't see the purpose of using this term to ascribe victimhood to the oppressive class esp when it has people assuming if masculinity=bad, ppl like butch lesbians "have toxic masculinity" and must also be bad
