Big congrats to Ashley Clarke for being recognized in the ‘25 Under 35’ journalism leaders. is brilliant, brave & compassionate. She's the thought leader this industry needs. I can't wait to see what she does at and beyond!

Legal harassment has long been a tool used by the rich and powerful to silence investigative journalism. SLAPP suits can lead to lengthy legal fights, sometimes in multiple jurisdictions, cause stress, and take journalists away from their everyday work.

I am still not over our 2022 LA convention, but #AAJA23 is already here! Pitch a session, speaker, or general idea to the programming committee. Or even better, join programming committee! DDL is next Tuesday, 2/7

Jet lag had me good today. Woke up at 4 am and planned to end the day after 10 pm. Let's see how many shots of coffee this would take.

So much respect to every Asian journalist whose name was among the bylines we read today. And also it's so sad to see my friends reporting on these shootings. Can't imagine the trauma they have to face.

Anyone who has tried to find an Asian male therapist on psychology today would understand how much help our community needs but also has nowhere to turn to.

Saw a push alert as I took off from Incheon about a shooting. Didn't click and didn't think twice. Then landed in the U.S. & slept the whole day. Only to find out what happened on AAJA's gboard channel a day later. 😱

AAJA is devastated to learn about the mass shooting following a Lunar New Year celebration in Monterey Park, CA, that left 10 individuals dead and at least 10 injured. We send our deepest condolences to the families affected in Monterey Park and the greater LA AAPI community. /1

While we all individually have our own fights, we are never alone in this journey. Thank you for telling stories of our community and for representing us in global media! Now off to the year of the Rabbit, wish you all safe, sound, and a fulfilling journey!

We might be far apart and many of us are not spending the holidays with families. But wherever you are, please pat your shoulder for your amazing achievement in the last year under unimaginably difficult conditions.

I for one am still haunted by the horror stories I’ve heard as a manager for ’s Black Journalists Therapy Relief Fund. Yet, Black journalists are living the stories. I often wonder if their situations improved post grant. But we all know s*** just don’t change on their own.

By this point, if any mental health in newsroom workshop still doesn’t include a Black woman or transgender speaker, I simply don’t know how to trust the organizer’s expertise on this issue. Have we as an industry learned anything since George Floyd’s death?

Amazed by how every pair of pants in Korea just fits. I don't have a weird shape of body. The western fashion industry doesn't tailor their cutting on my people.

Stress was dragging my jet lag long. I finished my talk at the university on Saturday, my sleep immediately returned to 6 to 8 hours. Finally, I recovered.
