“We have been using Gather for a while and it genuinely is the closest thing to ‘being in the office’ that I have seen. It gives you the ability to interact with your co-workers as though you were working in the same physical space as them.”

First meeting of the year at our @gather_town virtual office. Decorated our desks and got a tour of the office, rooftop chill area, conference area and our games garden complete with a racetrack! Fun way to start the year!

Started a remote job yesterday and the beginning of my onboarding process started on . It was so cool to have the company pimp out my “office” and decorate it with welcome balloons and flowers 🎊

has to be my tool of the year. Working 100% remotely, this was the missing piece for me. As a PM, hanging out with engineers is critical. Can't make every interaction a meeting.

it's hard to overstate how game changing it is to never have to click "join call" or "end call". walking up to people and into rooms (even virtually) just feels so natural!

Our team is trying @gather_town this week and so far it's _amazing_. We are 100% remote and have been missing the social benefits of an office. Gather makes "jumping on a call" obsolete. Instead just walk your avatar over and boom, instant video chat.

Quality is underutilized because it’s hard. It takes consistent effort, skill and taste. There is no shortcuts or growth hacks.

if you’re lucky enough to have built an early version of something people actually want, quality is truly the ultimate growth lever.

Tech layoffs affect immigrants the most!
5–15% of the 100k+ layoffs are H-1B holders.
In 60 days (30-45 in practice), they must find a new job or be deported from the US.
Families who've been here 10+yrs are told "We don't need you anymore. Leave."

Friends! I've left Twitter! It's been a ride & even after these past few weeks, I'm left with deep gratitude. Partnering with, serving & activating the biggest voices on Twitter & empowering them to shape culture was my team's mission. It was an honor for us to do this work.

But more than that, Gather injects a bit of fun into the workspace.
Poker tables, teleporting platforms, virtual pet dogs and confetti at the end of every meeting adds a bit of spice to our daily activities!

Gather is great because, firstly, it's very cute!
Gather also allows meeting capabilities and private rooms to work in which is nice.
In fact, ever since moving to Gather, we've completely ditched any other video conferencing tools for internal meetings!

Steph talking about his role in solving what Steve Kerr says is the biggest crisis the Warriors have faced together. My favorite part: "My job is to maintain the joy, the perspective, but also the expectation that we can get through it" His leadership is as good as his shooting.

“38 at the Garden” is such an uplifting documentary about Jeremy Lin and what he means for the Asian American community. Especially this segment about how Lin centered himself to take the game-winning shot. I teared up when Hasan Minhaj said it meant “we have dignity.”
