New: US & NATO allies are sending several surface-to-air missiles systems to Ukraine. A senior US official tells me these systems include Soviet-era SA-8, SA-10, SA-12 and SA-14 mobile air defense systems, w/range higher than Stingers, giving capability to hit cruise missiles.

Because they expected Ukraine to fall so they could keep making business with Putin like nothing had happened ...
We did an airlift to Berlin in 1959 and told the Soviets not to interfere, despite their threats. We should do this for Kiev. A humanitarian corridor in the air protected by air power.

I'm completely baffled that the U.S. and NATO will send surface to air missiles and military aerial combat drones but apparently, manned aircraft is the problem? There's no logic to this.

So am I, forget logistics and mods, if the sole intention of not sending the MiGs is the fear of escalation, the same concerns were mentioned with any missile defense system by NATO. But now it’s ok to send one and not the other?
