@marcoarment every year i/o announces new tech. Every year people state Apple is doomed. Google can’t create things people actually want.

@jimmyjamesuk123 @marcoarment other than Gmail, Android, Chromebooks, chromecast, maps, a search engine, etc.

@awoodward87 @marcoarment chromebooks are not successful, neither is the chromecast. They are very minor hits.

@jimmyjamesuk123 @marcoarment well they're outselling Apple so maybe we have different definitions of "hits" :)

@awoodward87 @marcoarment chromebooks are outselling macs? No. One quarter does not change that. Not sure where you got those figures.

@jimmyjamesuk123 As far as Chromecast goes, I think you are wrong: http://goo.gl/jHbiFY  #gHelp

@tony_lazzerini Apple doesn’t break out Apple TV numbers iirc. £30 v £129. I would bet Apple makes way more from appletv.

@jimmyjamesuk123 On Chromecast you might be right about margins, but it would be unfair to it was a minor hit IMO. #gHelp

@jimmyjamesuk123 @marcoarment or maybe they just lack the sales team to convince people to want it.

@ashkendo @marcoarment touchscreens didn’t replace keyboards, neither will voice assistants.

@jimmyjamesuk123 @marcoarment well, they did replace keyboards on mobile devices. And those devices basically took over from computers.

@ashkendo @marcoarment they didn’t replace computers, they augmented them for most people

@andresClari @marcoarment brilliant! both of those are recent announcements. Go back and look at 2013 or 2014 etc. Crap.

@scottknaster my goalpost is that Apple isn’t screwed because Google has a lot of announcements that people won’t pay money for.
