All I see is people saying what film and tv shouldn’t have been made or shouldn’t be watched. So what’s the last thing you watched where you had to pick up the phone and call somebody and say “I just watched ______________, have you seen this goddamn thing?”

People talk about Stanley Kubrick being a stickler for detail in his films, but there is NO TOPPING David Fincher. 'Let's call and see when sidewalk corner ramps were actually installed in Wichita, Kansas...' The man is on another level.

We accept around 10 filmmakers every year and the Lab is entirely pro-bono and philanthropic. We help the filmmakers along for free and it's our favorite week of the year. But the goal is entirely selfish: for Ben and I to see better films in the future.

Have producers that you love. Work 3 times harder than anybody. Be kind, listen, support people who are carrying heavy gear up flights of stairs for your daydream. Don't waste time playing back every take, if you can do it better, say so and reset.
